"Revenge is a dish best served cold."—Choderlos de Laclos

Two irresistible scoundrels employ sex as a weapon in their warlike gameplaying—with shocking results. Adapted from the scandalous 18th century epistolary novel by Laclos, Les Liaisons Dangereuses tells the story of the Marquise de Merteuil and the Vicomte de Valmont, a dangerously wicked pair of pleasure-seeking French aristocrats in the days leading up to the French Revolution. Wit and immediacy characterize this stage adaptation by award-winning playwright Christopher Hampton. Debated, discussed and dissected since it took Europe by storm when it was first published as a series of authentic letters, Les Liaisons Dangereuses remains remarkably relevant and endlessly fascinating. A celebration of libertinism, an indictment of a corrupt society, or the original reality show? You decide.
